What I did on my summer vacation

By all accounts I think I have sewn about 1500 yards- no kidding- in one week. I have gone through 3 spools of 500 yards for these two quilts (you are looking at the backs) and it is slow tedious work. In case you are wondering just how long that is- it is fifteen football fields- and that's a lot of stitches- I figure there are about 8 stitches to the inch- and that means I qulted about 432,000 stitches in ten days. Not terribly creative- but a job that needs to get done if I have any prayer of getting my quilts done for Quilt National. Which I would really like to do. Then I had to do the chore I hate the most- burying threads on the back. Even more tedious than quilting zillions of parallel lines.
In order to break the monotony I also made 12 jars of blueberry jam, and a dozen blueberry muffins.

I am so looking forward to finishing these pieces and starting on something new. And looking forward, with trepidation, to Nancy's master class.
