George, Janome or nothing at all

Ok folks out there, I am soliciting feedback on sit down long arm quilting machines, like George or the new Janome  or whether I need one at all. But struggling trying to get my quilt through the 6" of space on my Bernina 1630 is no longer an option. I feel like I am wrestling a giant every time I have to change direction. So here are my questions:

1. I do not do free motion quilting at all, and am not likely to. I like tight parallel lines. Would any of these machines give me straight lines or do all of them use a quilting foot?

2. Do I need a long arm or are there other alternatives in machines that have a longer harp? I have a Juki which gets me to about 9" or possibly more, but it sure would be nice to have more room.

3. Do you have any experience with either of these machines? Any pros and cons that I should know about?

4. I do not need fancy embroidery. I do however need a good reverse stitch and a knee lifter.

5. Do I have to pay a small fortune or are there any bargains out there I should be looking at?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I have frittered away a few mornings looking at what is out there and I am totally open. Bring it on!
